The Majestic View of Center Pivot Irrigation System from Above

Center-pivot irrigation systems are widely used in desert and remote areas especially the ones far away from nearest on-land water source. First invented in 1940, this method of irrigation is still proven to be efficient yielding optimum crop with minimal water usages.

You might have witnessed green circles of vegetation while flying on airplane which are exactly the result of center-pivot irrigation. These circles are typically up to 1/4th of a mile in radius and covers 125 acres of vegetation making them the perfect size to create amazing dot patterns when viewed from above.
