Grumpy Frogs Look Like Angry Avocados

The Black rain frog (Breviceps fuscus), is a species of frog in the Breviceps family. It is endemic to SouthAfrica. Unlike many frogs, it breeds by direct development, not associated with water.

They are famous as ‘Angry Avocados’ because they look like them.

When they feel threatened, black rain frogs can puff themselves up like a balloon — kind of like a pufferfish. When they puff up they go into a more aggressive stance. So when it transforms into a cranky balloon, best to leave Grumpy Frog alone!
