The Smallest Library In Italy

Antonio La Cava, a retired Italian schoolteacher, decided to transform his pale blue three wheeler into mobile library to get the chance of reading books to children in the remote places of Italy. This portable library houses 700 books.

He has been driving this “Bibliomotocarro” ever since, which literally breaks down as Biblio + moto + carro so in English, that’s library/books + scooter + cart is brilliant.

He drives through each of these villages, stopping, chatting to the local people, and then offering children a book each.

For me this is a truly heart-warming story. A tale of giving and considering others.
